The Mengle Memorial Library will be having a science and math activity program for preschool aged children and their parents on Tuesday, September 29th at 6:30 p.m. The library is encouraging parents and day care providers to come and learn how to incorporate easy science and math concepts into your daily routine.
Children learn math and science by doing math and science. They need to ask questions, have discussions, explore using a variety of materials, collect data and talk about what they're doing. Young children need experiences that allow them to explore, over and over. They need to use a variety of materials and tools, talk about what they are doing, ask questions and try to find answers.
This program will use concepts and activities from the Mother Goose What’s the Big Idea?TM Program. Stop by the library and have a fun educational night with your young children.
